Fremont police reported that a 35-year-old woman, Kim Tran, died after crashing her new motorcycle into a tree while practicing in a parking lot.
The crash occurred around 9:25 a.m. on Dumbarton Circle, marking the seventh fatal traffic incident in Fremont this year.
Despite attempts by first responders to provide medical assistance, Tran was pronounced dead at the scene, highlighting the dangers of motorcycle practice.
Initial investigations indicate that while Tran was practicing riding, she veered off course, leading to the fatal accident; impairment was ruled out.
