Marin coroner: No ID yet in Novato plane crash

The identity of the pilot who died in a fiery plane crash in Novato will require confirmation through scientific tests due to severe physiologic damage, Chief Deputy Coroner Roger Fielding stated.
The crash occurred around 3:50 p.m. Saturday at the Marin County Airport, known as Gnoss Field Airport, when the single-engine Aero Commander 200D struck a hangar.
The incident marks the first deadly air crash in Marin County since July 2023 and is currently under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.
