On June 18, 2025, the San Francisco Community Music Center will host a free performance blending music, theater, and storytelling focused on aging and dementia. The work, created by İdil Özkan, depicts the character Mr. K through three narratives corresponding to normal aging, Alzheimer's, and frontotemporal dementia. Utilizing an AI narrator and live musicians, the performance presents an emotional sensory journey, exploring themes of memory and identity in the context of growing older. This event draws from personal and scientific insights to engage the audience with profound questions about aging.
