"As a presidential candidate in 2008, Barack Obama introduced a ban on DNC donations from corporate lobbyists and PACs, promising, 'We are going to change how Washington works.'" This reflects a commitment to reform that has been lost in recent years.
Democratic leaders must decisively show that the party is for the people - not billionaires or corporations, as phrased by the progressive advocacy groups urging for a change.
