The Pennsylvania Democratic Party filed suit against Erie County, asserting that 10,000 to 20,000 voters have not received their requested mail-in ballots ahead of Election Day.
In its lawsuit, the party expressed that the return rate for mail-in ballots in Erie County was found to be 15 percentage points below the state average.
Reports emerged that 552 voters contacted a party hotline regarding issues with mail-in ballots, either receiving incorrect ballots or not receiving one at all.
The Erie County Board of Elections has acknowledged the issue and expressed its diligence in resolving it, working in coordination with various departments to rectify the situation.
