Christopher Miller, 43, has been accused of murder after allegedly fatally shooting his retired detective father, John Miller, 75, during a domestic argument. After expressing concerns regarding his son’s well-being, John picked Christopher up from the hospital only for Christopher to reportedly shoot him four times with a shotgun and then attack him further with the weapon. Following the shocking act, Christopher attempted to escape but was soon apprehended. He has since pleaded not guilty for reasons of insanity and is being held without bail as the case unfolds.
Christopher Miller, 43, pleaded not guilty for reasons of insanity in a Suffolk County courtroom for allegedly fatally shooting his father, retired Suffolk County Police Department detective John Miller.
He shot his father four times with a shotgun before driving the pointed end of the weapon into his head to finish him off, according to a criminal complaint.
After the killing, Miller ran from the home and hid in a neighbor's shed. The eagle-eyed homeowner spotted him and called police.
Miller, who recently moved into his father's home after going through a divorce, tried to run but was tackled by a cop.
