Police: Before arrest in child porn case, California man drilled hard drive and his fingers, too

A 26-year-old Yucaipa man caused himself injury while attempting to destroy a hard drive containing over 100 images of child sexual abuse. The incident occurred when Redlands police arrived to serve a search warrant as part of an operation by the Internet Crimes Against Children's task force. Despite injuring his fingers while drilling through the hard drive, the man was arrested and opted not to receive medical attention. He faces charges related to possession and distribution of obscene materials, and his court date is set for March 10.
