Rincon Center in San Francisco serves as the setting for Joe Goode's installation Are You Okay?, which runs from August 14 to August 31. Grounded in a rich history, the site juxtaposes the elegant Art Deco design of the former post office with contemporary architecture. Goode, a prominent figure in the San Francisco dance scene since 1986, aims to communicate the importance of collaborative creativity in navigating today's challenges. The installation will address collective and individual coping strategies amid a changing world.
Goode's goal then and now is to show that collaborative embodied creativity is essential for survival.
Are You Okay? is an exploration of how we, both individually and collectively, cope with a world that metaphorically sifts and twists under our feet.
