Cozy SF French restaurant closing after three decades
Briefly

Owner Lina Yew founded the restaurant as Le Charm Bistro in September 1994. Initially, Yew rented the space as a kitchen for her catering business, but she began opening for lunch shortly after because of popular demand.
Yew told the San Francisco Chronicle that she made the decision to close because of a desire to look into new projects as opposed to a downturn in business, although she admitted that business had become irregular in 2024.
The support from her community has been significant over the three decades of the bistro's operation. While this chapter is coming to an end, Lina Yew and her chef husband will continue to share their culinary passion at their restaurant, L'Ardoise Bistro.
