Bosco, an Italian restaurant, will occupy the former Bellota space in the Airbnb building in SoMa. It will focus on live-fire grilling, coal roasting, and plancha cooking. Menu items may include fire-roasted vegetables, whole-animal butchery, sustainable seafood, flatbreads, and fermentation. The restaurant will have a capacity of around 200 people and feature a large bar area. Although the opening is planned for this summer, details like a chef and specific date remain undisclosed.
The sizable restaurant space in the base of the Airbnb building in SoMa will be coming to life again with a new concept called Bosco, which will be Italian.
Bosco's menu will be driven by live-fire grilling, coal roasting, and plancha cooking, featuring fire-roasted vegetables, whole-animal butchery, sustainable seafood, flatbreads, and fermentation.
A new, even larger hearth is being added in the kitchen, which was already equipped with a wood grill; the restaurant can seat around 200 people.
Bellota, the previous restaurant, was popular for its paella and roving cart for jamon iberico and pinxtos, but closed last summer.
