Amazon has decided to return to being in the office five days a week, as CEO Andy Jassy believes this will enhance collaboration and company culture.
Jassy emphasized that in-person work will improve Amazon's ability to invent and deliver the best for customers and the business as a whole.
While the new policy mandates in-office work, certain exceptions remain for employee emergencies and specific work needs, differing from the flexibility allowed during the pandemic.
Amazon previously monitored employee attendance closely, ensuring staff spent a minimum of two hours in the office to receive credit for that day.
