According to new research from The New York Times, Raleigh ranked as the second-most popular place to work from home, with nearly 25% of its residents working from home.
Jim Anthony, who's been in the commercial real estate business for decades, said rent for office spaces is dropping because of the shift to working from home. Anthony believes this downsizing could be permanent.
People are more relaxed. They do better work when they don't feel the pressure to get on the road and get here on [Interstate 40] every morning.
As someone with kids, flexibility is particularly important. It allows parents more time with family, positively affecting their work-life balance.
