Five-day RTO mandates haven't stopped employees from working remotely
Briefly

Despite the push for return-to-office (RTO) mandates, a significant portion of employees continue to work remotely, particularly on Fridays. According to WFH Research's latest survey, over a quarter of in-person workers report doing some work remotely. The overall remote work percentage has remained stable between 25% and 30% from early 2022 to 2025, particularly among white-collar workers. This trend reflects pre-pandemic work habits, indicating a persistent blend of home and office work.
People who come into the office regularly have always done work at home to some extent.
The average amount of time spent working remotely hasn't changed much in the last few years.
