The pendulum is now swinging in favor of non-degree holders who have acquired the necessary experience, skills, and what are known as "career certificates."
Nearly half of companies (45%) withdrew degree requirements from some of their job specifications this year, while 55% already eliminated bachelor's degree requirements in 2023.
Four in five employers agree that they value a candidate's experience more than their educational status, recognizing that plenty of brilliant candidates lack degrees.
Although these employers do not explicitly state that a degree is necessary, some might prefer degree holders, making it critical for job-seekers to build skills and maintain a growth mindset.
