Initially a birthday gift, the card has been signed and dated back and forth annually, culminating in DeReamer mailing it again for Wheaton's 95th birthday this coming May. Their remarkable dedication has secured them a Guinness World Record. Their friendship continues to thrive despite the challenges of aging and less frequent meetings, emphasizing the enduring nature of their bond.
This started 81 years ago when DeReamer received a puppy-adorned card from Wheaton for her 14th birthday in April 1944, launching the enduring tradition.
Our commitment to exchanging this card has earned us a Guinness World Record title for the 'Longest Greeting Card Exchange,' which we never formally planned!
