In the latest episode of The Wheel of Time, Lord Gaebril, initially introduced as a benevolent figure, is revealed to be Rahvin, a cunning Forsaken. He has manipulated the memories of many, convincing them of a false history. As he weaves a web of deceit among other Forsaken, the episode illustrates how small details enhance the larger narrative. Meanwhile, Perrin faces a moral dilemma as his hometown resists the oppressive Whitecloaks, showcasing themes of loyalty and community under pressure.
Now we find out why. Gaebril is, in fact, Rahvin, one of the evil Forsaken freed from their millennia-long captivity.
In a show as packed with plot as The Wheel of Time has been during this first three-episode drop of season three, focusing on the little moments makes a big difference.
