I'm a Master of Petty Revenge. Two Everyday Tools Help Me Crush My Enemies.
Briefly

Revenge can be a consuming desire, often leading individuals to focus on harmful thoughts rather than their own happiness. Maintaining thoughts of vengeance can become counterproductive, as they undermine well-being. A practical approach to managing these feelings includes creating an 'Enemies List', which allows for the safe storage of these impulses in a digital format. This list provides a structured way to keep track of those who have wronged someone, permitting individuals to focus on their lives while waiting for the right moment for possible revenge without constant obsessions over it.
Revenge, when done well, takes time. It requires playing the long game. You wait quietly and thoughtfully until the opportunity for maximum payback arrives-even if that takes years.
The desire for revenge is normal and even rational, but if we allow it to fester in our minds, it can quickly become counterproductive.
Pushing the desire for revenge into the back of your mind is challenging for many, including me. That's why my therapist endorses my solution to this problem: My 'Enemies List.'
Having this list allows me to maintain my desire for ruination, but prevents these desires from clouding my day-to-day: that way, I don't obsess over getting even.
