The author of the article expresses apprehension about data tracking practices on websites, specifically Daily KOS, which houses a significant number of advertising trackers. Discontent with the absence of a universal opt-out option, the writer disabled trackers individually, reflecting a need for better privacy practices, especially for users in regions with stricter data privacy regulations. The post serves as a cautionary note for others contemplating the implications of tracking on online platforms.
I am leaving the site...I happened to have my vpn set to a European country where they have much stronger rules on what must be asked about selling info.
Daily KOS has 837 advertising trackers. I just spent a while disabling them all individually. They do not have an option to disable all.
This is basically a fyi post as a warning for anyone concerned about being tracked on this site.
