Verizon has disclosed an insider data breach to the Maine Attorney General's Office, affecting 63,206 employees. The breach occurred on September 21, 2023, but wasn't discovered until December. The compromised data included personal information such as names, addresses, Social Security numbers, gender, union affiliation, birth dates, and compensation details. Verizon stated that there was no indication of malicious intent and that the information was not shared externally. However, the breach was not reported to law enforcement.
