An email reported, 'bottles of urine and faeces are all around the building', illustrating the appalling sanitary conditions faced by employees at the International Protection Office.

One employee noted, 'I no longer feel safe in my workplace... This is very upsetting for staff and has impacted mental health and people's ability to focus...'

Concerns were raised about the camp attracting vermin and increasing tensions among asylum applicants and staff due to the presence of protesters.
