Omar Abdirizak, known as Twista Cheese, faces trial next year after pleading not guilty to sending a menacing message about Tommy Robinson on social media.
Prosecutors at Birmingham Magistrates' Court have replaced the earlier charge against Abdirizak of conveying false information with a new allegation of sending a grossly offensive message.
District Judge Wain talked about bail, stating that the defence's application for unconditional bail was not opposed by the prosecution, leading to its approval.
Robinson, a well-known figure and founder of the English Defence League, shared the video with his followers, which has led to the ongoing legal proceedings.
