After the incident, Tom raised the case with their MP to increase awareness about the humiliating experiences LGBTQ+ individuals might face at foreign airports, especially in Egypt.
A Foreign Office spokesperson mentioned their commitment to support British nationals overseas but refrained from discussing individual cases involving children.
