13 things the Irish government could do with the 13bn in tax it gets from Apple
Briefly

The €13bn has been sitting in an escrow account for the past six years, being the Commission's estimate of how much back taxes Apple should have paid into the Irish Exchequer.
Based on the value of the recent bike shelter installed at Leinster House by the Office of Public Works, the Government could also introduce 38,690 similar shelters across the country.
The government could build six more children's hospitals. The one currently being built is going to cost about €2.2bn.
By some estimates that would still not be enough to meet annual demand, but it would be about 10,000 more than this year's target in the Housing for All programme.
