Popular Chefs Will 'Rotate' Into This Upcoming Napa Restaurant at Oxbow Public Market
Briefly

Following the sudden closure of C Casa in January 2025, Oxbow Public Market has teamed up with Feast It Forward to open Rotation, a unique restaurant experience launching in Fall 2025. This venture will allow visiting chefs to showcase rotating menus, designed to engage the local community while promoting tourism. Owner Katie Hamilton Shaffer envisions an inclusive concept where chefs not only curate their specialties but also participate in events and discussions as part of their residency, all within a renovated 5,000-square-foot space.
"The whole idea is to bring tourism and something very unique for our community that is constantly evolving and changing," Shaffer says. "It's all about cuisine and culture."
As Shaffer pitches it, visiting chefs will come to Napa to film videos with the Feast It Forward network for a few days, leading to a ticketed opening party celebration at the venue with music, cocktails, light bites, and on-stage discussion with the chef that will serve as the kickoff to their residency at Rotation.
Between residencies, Rotation's yet-to-be-named executive chef will serve their own menu for the restaurant and the social club, which Shaffer says will be "in theme" with the Rotation name, such as rotisserie meats and fresh vegetables cooked - or rotating - over the restaurant's hearth.
It's an all-inclusive project that folds in Shaffer's Feast It Forward venue across the street from Oxbow.
