On our first date, I brought up the topic of kids, which is bold but necessary. We agreed we were both 50/50 about it, and now we're certain we want to remain a childless couple.
Seeing friends have kids changed our decision. Our interactions with children left us drained and reaffirmed our desire to be childless.
Ultimately, having siblings takes some pressure off us regarding family expectations. My younger sister is married, which eases the weight of grandparenting on us.
My husband’s mom is very intuitive and really wanted us to have kids, even suggesting she saw twins in our future. I had to clarify that children are not in our plans.
