Wizards reportedly lays off more D&D staff, this time from the Sigil VTT team
Briefly

Sigil, a virtual tabletop for Dungeons & Dragons built on Unreal Engine 5, launched recently but reportedly suffered a major setback with the layoff of 90% of its supporting team at Wizards of the Coast. This has raised concerns about the platform's future and ongoing support. Sigil is part of the D&D Beyond subscription and aimed to enhance the tabletop experience with advanced graphics. However, initial reviews indicated it lacked depth, and now, with the majority of its developers gone, the prospect of achieving its envisioned full experience seems bleak.
Appximately 30 talented developers (90% of the team) were laid off from the Sigil [...] team at Wizards of the Coast, including yours truly. I'm disappointed that we didn't get to continue working toward the full experience.
Sigil was perceived as a high-level goal of Wizards leadership, aiming to create an advanced online playspace that replicated the tabletop D&D experience.
