What to know about insect pollinators declining in the U.S.
Briefly

A lot of different insects pollinate - bees, flies, wasps, beetles, and butterflies. Insects are crucial for pollinating 90% of flowering plants, without which plant diversity would dramatically decline.
Recent studies show significant declines in insect populations even in conservation lands. Native wild bees are particularly impacted; North America has 4,000-5,000 bee species.
