Weather tracker: Shanghai hit by its strongest typhoon in 75 years'

Typhoon Bebinca has made landfall near Shanghai, becoming the strongest typhoon to hit the city in 75 years, leading to significant evacuations and flight cancellations.

With wind speeds reported over 150km/h, Typhoon Bebinca was strong enough to be comparable to a category 1 hurricane. Its impact resulted in the evacuation of over 400,000 residents.

While Bebinca caused extensive damage, bringing heavy rain and flooding to Shanghai, the city is bracing for further disruption from Tropical Storm Pulasan, which is forecasted to make landfall soon.

Tropical Storm Pulasan has weakened but is still expected to bring significant weather challenges to Shanghai as the recovery from Bebinca continues, exacerbating the situation.
