Most of North America is suitable for a wide expansion of the invasive box tree moth, known for chowing down on boxwood plants, stripping their foliage, munching on their bark, and killing them.
The moth has been spreading widely throughout Europe since 2007 and was first spotted in North America in Toronto in 2018.
