Population growth will push humans into wildlife habitats, study says
Briefly

As human populations grow over the next 50 years, people will push further into wildlife habitats, leading to an estimated increase of overlap across 57% of the Earth.
We found that agricultural and forest areas will experience substantial increases of overlap in the future, especially in regions with high population density like China and India.
This human-animal overlap will cause more conflict with wildlife, affecting biodiversity, increasing disease transmission, and leading to more wildlife being killed by humans.
Areas of very high biodiversity are particularly at risk, especially in Africa and South America where predicted human-wildlife overlap will increase significantly.
