Hyundai's EV plant in Georgia will suck 6.6 million gallons of water away from the drinking supply
Briefly

The Army Corps of Engineers announced it will reassess Hyundai's Georgia plant permit after concerns were raised over water supply impacts, signaling potential regulatory scrutiny.
'The concentration of that pumping in one area is going to have some impacts locally, such as on domestic and agricultural wells,' stated Ben Kirsch of the Ogeechee Riverkeeper.
'The big question we've had throughout all this is what impact will it have on other resources - natural springs in the area, wetlands, tributaries and streams,' remarked Kirsch.
In a letter, the Army Corps indicated it will revisit its initial finding of 'negligible impacts' due to revelations about Hyundai's water withdrawal needs.
