How Australian conservationists' tunnel vision lets turtles swim to freedom
Briefly

The eastern long-necked turtles, while adorable, face challenges in their conservation, particularly with barriers like fences. To mitigate this, we designed turtle tunnels filled with water, allowing them to safely traverse between their habitats and maintain their population stability.
Dexter observes that the tunnels, resembling small bathtubs, have now become a welcome environment for the turtles, as they seem content to sit in them. This innovation reflects our effort to ensure that turtles can navigate the fox-proof area without distress.
