Dozens missing in Yemen floods, risk of cholera outbreak rises
Briefly

At least one clinic in western Yemen is treating suspected cholera patients, raising serious concerns about a potential outbreak linked to contaminated water from heavy rains and floods.
The floods, which have already killed 60 people and affected 268,000, also swept away cars and cut off roads, leading to the collapse of three dams.
Medics at a treatment center noted a significant influx of patients suffering from diarrhoea, a symptom of suspected cholera, highlighting the public health crisis.
According to the WHO, unprecedented levels of rainfall are expected in the coming months, exacerbating the risks of waterborne diseases like cholera across western Yemen.
