DJ LeMahieu has a non-displaced fracture ( X link via Bryan Hoch of MLB.com). He'll be reevaluated in two weeks but is now clearly facing a lengthier absence than originally anticipated.
The Yankees made a late-spring trade to acquire utilityman Jon Berti from the Marlins. Berti's presence on the roster will be all the more important now.
