The 1998 season was notable in a lot of ways.There's, of course, the '98 Yankees ' exploits which these diary posts have been remembering.Even more notable than that to the general baseball watching public was the home run race between Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa, which saw McGuire surpass Roger Maris and set a new single-season record with 70 homers.
