We've got fans dressing in Grimace costumes at games, and during a pretty fierce storm at Citi Field on Wednesday, someone in one of those costumes chugged a beer as fans cheered the purple creature on.
the Empire State Building went purple for Grimace's birthday ... but the social media account for the building tagged the Mets after they beat the Yankees. So it's definitely to celebrate the Grimace and Mets connection.
