Patriots CB depth gets hit hard with another injury at training camp
Briefly

The new regime has made several successful upgrades to the Patriots' roster, generating excitement about their potential competitiveness. Training camp performances thus far have mostly met expectations. However, injuries to key cornerbacks Carlton Davis and Christian Gonzalez, along with the potential serious injury of Marcellas Dial, have raised concerns about depth in the secondary. Dial's absence limits opportunities for others to prove themselves as viable backups, impacting the development of the defensive team during a critical training period.
Patriots CB Marcellas Dial is being carted off the field with what appears to be a potentially significant left leg/knee injury. He went down during team periods and laid on the field receiving medical attention for 1-2 minutes.
The upgrades they have made to all groups on the team have made them appear to be a competitive team ready to break out.
