Woman denies murdering 'well-loved' father-of-six on Christmas Day
Briefly

Kirsty Carless has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Louis Price, a beloved father-of-six, during a brief hearing at Stafford Crown Court. The incident occurred on Christmas Day 2022, with police responding to a cardiac arrest call. Price passed away despite medical intervention. His family remembers him fondly as a community figure, devoted fisherman, and football supporter. A trial is set for July 14, and Carless is currently in custody awaiting a pre-trial review in May. A referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct has been made concerning police contact prior to Price's death.
Judge Kristina Montgomery KC set the date for a three-week trial at Stafford as 14 July and Carless was remanded into custody for a pre-trial review.
Mr Price's family described him as a well-known member of the community who was well-loved and always smiling, stating he always had time for anyone.
