Woman Assaulted On UWS Subway In Apparently Unprovoked Attack: Police

Early Monday morning, a 28-year-old woman was randomly attacked on the subway by a stranger, sustaining injuries from a sucker punch as she traveled.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:50 a.m. on the 3 train near the West 96th Street and Broadway 1/2/3 express station.
Police are investigating the attack but have no description of the assailant, who managed to escape the scene.
Despite the assault being unprovoked, the police have not yet made any arrests as the investigation remains underway.
