'Woke' crusader accused of bizarre threats against lesbian bars doesn't have to take psych eval - despite pleas from judge
Briefly

A judge has ruled that Anne Marie Bompart, accused of sending threats to popular Lesbian bars, does not require a psychiatric evaluation. Judge Louis Nock declined the request for a 730 mental health exam despite severe accusations, including threats against a bar worker's dog. Bompart faces charges of aggravated harassment tied to her ongoing campaign against the bars, which she claims engage in racist practices. Her attorney argued she is stable and articulate, framing the request for evaluation as a tactical legal maneuver by the plaintiffs.
"I too, at this present moment, see no reason why a 730 evaluation should be ordered," said Nock at Bompart's arraignment.
"This is another attempt by the plaintiffs to get an advantage and use the criminal justice system [and a 730 exam] as some kind of tactic against her," argued Bompart's attorney.
Judge James d'Auguste issued the request for the mental exam after Bompart was arrested on criminal charges of harassment.
Bompart was hit with charges of aggravated harassment for sending violent messages to the bars as part of her 'woke' campaign.
