Tourist shot during armed robbery at Times Square sportswear store: sources

The gunfire rang out at JD Sports Store on West 42nd Street and Broadway after a security guard approached two shoplifting suspects, the sources said.

During the confrontation, one of the men pulled out a gun and fired it in the direction of the loss prevention employee. But the bullet struck Brazilian tourist who was inside the store, according to sources.
