Briefly

After over 12 years, Adrian Oneal Grimes was indicted for the murder of 16-year-old Bryan Herrera, who was shot on his bicycle. Miami-Dade State Attorney's office announced they would be seeking the death penalty. Grimes, who refused to appear in court, has been in federal custody for a drug offense and was identified by a witness who claimed to have witnessed the shooting. Bryan's mother expressed relief over the arrest, signaling a 'perfect time' after so many years without resolution.
"It was a perfect time for an arrest for a crime that was committed almost 12 years ago to the day," said Anabel Herrera.
"Grimes was indicted on a first-degree murder charge... and the state announced Wednesday it's seeking the death penalty."
"Adrian Oneal Grimes... was in federal custody for a drug offense when a witness... came forward and said he watched the crime unfold."
"His attorney stated that his client was not guilty and would seek a trial by jury."
