Rockaways residents' outraged over noise from nearby $3.7M amphitheater
Briefly

Joe O'Sullivan, a retired firefighter, described the impact of the amphitheater's live music, saying, 'We're in our homes with our doors shut, our AC on and our TV on, and it's insufferable.' He expressed that even with noise-canceling measures, the vibrations from the music are overwhelming and disruptive to their daily lives.
Helena O'Sullivan shared an alarming incident, remarking, 'It was my medicine cabinet shaking, and all the stuff in it. It was weird. I couldn't believe.' The O'Sullivans have lived nearby for years and have never experienced such disruptive noise before.
Erin Silvers, a local resident, highlighted the frequency and intensity of the noise, stating, 'It's like the Fourth of July at all hours of the day. It'll start at 10 in the morning and go til 10 at night.' She noted that the volume was significantly louder this year.
Residents in the area have felt ignored by the city officials, with one remarking that they feel the performers have been given 'carte blanche' to disturb the peace in the neighborhood without regard for those living nearby.
