Tuen Kit Lee, known as the 'bad breath rapist', was sentenced to 18-20 years in prison after evading capture for 17 years following a 2005 assault.
After being convicted of aggravated rape and kidnapping, Lee spent 17 years as a fugitive before a $10,000 reward led to his capture in California.
Massachusetts State Police and Quincy Police remained committed to the case, emphasizing their determination to bring Lee to justice after his prolonged evasion.
District Attorney Michael Morrissey said the hefty sentence reflects the brutality of Lee's crime and his lack of remorse throughout the proceedings.
