On a Friday morning in East Elmhurst, Queens, a woman was attacked while walking home at approximately 6 a.m. The assailant, a stranger who trailed her, sexually assaulted her in an alleyway at the intersection of 31st Avenue and Jackson Mill Road. After the incident, the victim was taken to a local hospital and was reported to be in stable condition. Police have confirmed that no arrests had been made as of the Friday afternoon follow-up.
