Police shoot and kill teen armed with a replica handgun in upstate New York, authorities say
Briefly

Utica Police Chief Mark Williams said the shooting happened after officers stopped two youths, one of whom fled on foot and pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the officers.
Officers recovered a replica GLOCK 17 Gen 5 handgun with a detachable magazine from the scene. 'It fires only pellets or BB's,' said Lt. Michael Curley.
The department plans to release a comprehensive report and full body camera footage to provide an overview of the events surrounding the shooting.
