Jonathan Laforteza, a newly joined officer, shot a knife-wielding carjacking suspect in Fremont. The suspect, in stable condition, advanced towards the officer despite warnings.
The shooting occurred after a carjacking incident. The suspect, brandishing a knife, ignored commands and continued to approach the officer, leading to the officer firing.
