Jessiah Mercado, 20, and her 4-month-old son, Messiah Diaz, were pronounced dead at the hospital after being shot in a drive-by incident in Hartford.
The shooting occurred in the area of 380 New Britain Ave., where three victims, including a woman and her baby, suffered gunshot wounds.
At 2:47 p.m., officers responded to Hartford Hospital for a report of a vehicle arriving with multiple gunshot victims from the drive-by shooting.
Authorities confirmed the driver of the vehicle was unharmed, while the investigation into this tragic shooting continues.
