Fatal shooting near Redwood City Whole Foods

On February 6, a homicide took place near Whole Foods in Redwood City. The victim was found lying and bleeding behind the market at around 1:40 a.m., prompting police activity. Medical personnel attempted first aid but declared the victim dead upon arrival. Law enforcement is treating the incident as a homicide investigation, although the identity of the victim has not been disclosed publicly pending notification of next of kin.
Officers received a report of the victim lying and bleeding down behind the market on Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue around 1:40 a.m., Lt. Jeff Clements said.
When officers and medical personnel arrived, they pronounced the victim dead at the scene after providing first aid.
Police are investigating the case as a homicide, Clements said.
