Briefly

Residents reported 'significant damage' at Balearic Park the morning of Saturday, Nov. 23, a day after the alleged vandalism. The Costa Mesa Police Department was alerted.
Investigating officers discovered a license plate reader had captured video of the car around the park, and later found the driver at a local car wash attempting to clean her vehicle.
The vehicle had grass and mud on it when officers approached, indicating that the driver was indeed attempting to remove evidence of her actions.
Officers arrested the driver for felony vandalism and attempting to conceal evidence, as substantial damage was caused by her actions at Balearic Park.
